Does Ruby support TLS-PSK?

问题内容:

I am currently looking at connecting to stunnel on our local machines that are living on their own local network seperated in their own vlan, and it supports authentication through PSK (Pre-Shared Keys)[0], stunnel mentions it is faster to use TLS-PSKs, and I think it might also be easier than to start working with certificates.

However, I do not seem to find any working examples or documentation[1] that works with that form for authentication, does anyone know if it is supported?

You might find using tools like SSH or some kind of VPN client is easier than baking all of this into your Ruby code base as a dependency. You’ll also want to see if you have a performance problem in the first place before steering towards the “fastest” solution. Maybe it only saves 200ms on a connection that stays up for hours.
